INSTALLATION

• The installation of Condensate Removal Pump must be carried out by qualified personnel according to the local standard set up by each Government.
• The power line to the Pump must be independent and protected with the differential switch In=30 mA max. Power the pump with a separate line from the air-conditioning unit.
• Check that the electricity voltage corresponds to that required by the pump, as shown on the rating plate.
• The power plug must be inserted into an earthed socket (safe and efficient). Do not install the pump if there is no protection circuit (earth).
• The pump should not be installed outdoors (exposed to weather and rain) or in places where there could be water jets or spray and/or an ambient temperature lower than 5˚C.
• Do not cover the pump casing with clothes or other things. Make sure that all the openings in the casing are always unobstructed; they are used to drain off excess water if the drainage pump is faulty.
• First, pull the card out of the motor cover slot. This special card is used to protect the switch in transit.
• Place the pump on a flat perfectly horizontal surface or wall-mount close to the air-conditioning unit, securing it through the special slots on the tank.
  
  ATTENTION! VERY IMPORTANT! ALWAYS CONNECT TO ALARM SYSTEM!

  The pump must be placed below the origin of the condensation water so that the water enters the tank naturally by force of gravity. Connect the air-conditioning unit connection drainage pipe to one of the four inlets on the pump. If necessary, the tank cover can be turned 180˚. To remove the cover from the tank, insert a screwdriver into the special slot and press.
• Connect the drainage pipe (internal diameter 8mm, external diameter 12mm) to the pump water output coupling, making sure that the pipe is as vertical and straight as possible while observing the maximum height for the pump model.

SAFETY SWITCH

　The alarm micro-switch (Safety Switch) must be connected to a circuit powered by “Very low safety voltage”: e.g. 24VAC Max. (through a safety transformer) or other each local standard. The purpose of the safety switch is to prevent condensation water overflowing from the pump tank and thereby avoiding unforeseen damage to walls, floors, etc.

• N.C.: When water reaches the safety float, the contact opens. This device should be connected to the air-conditioning unit so that the machine is turned off and condensation is no longer produced.
• N.O.: When the water reaches the safety float, the contact closes. This device should be connected to the air- conditioning unit so that a buzzer is activated or warning light illuminated to warn that the pump is in the alarm mode. To connect the alarm, loosen the pump cover screw and access the contacts.

MAINTENANCE

　Before working on the pump, make sure it is unplugged from the mains. It is good practice to clean the tank periodically using hot water with a neutral detergent. If the pump stops, check the following:

• that there is electricity
• that the drainage pipe is not bent or clogged
• that the float switch moves freely
• remove the cover, and turn the fan motor with a finger to make sure it can spin around freely

WARNING

• Do not use the pump with inflammable or explosive liquids.
• Do not use the pump in areas where explosives are kept.
• Do not handle the pump with wet hands or if there is water nearby.
• Use only the voltage specified on the pump plate.
• Unplug from the mains before carrying out maintenance.

WARRANTY

　The warranty has a duration of one (1) year starting from the shipping date at the supplier’s shipment port or airport and covers defects in material. The warranty does not apply to defects due to:

• Unsuitable shipping
• The use of products that are NOT compliant with the specifications in the instructions and/or installation, operating and maintenance manual,
• Failure to observe the technical specifications of the product,
• Repairs or modifications performed by the client or third parties without previous written authorization from the supplier,
• Lack of or unsuitable maintenance,
• Any other cause that is not due to original defects in the material or manufacturing,
• As long as the client’s complaint is covered by warranty and notified within the terms and as requested by the supplier, she/he shall undertake, at her/his own judgment, to replace or repair each product or parts of it which present vices or defects,
• The warranty does not cover damage and/or defects of a product resulting from faults caused by, or link to, parts assembled/added directly by the client,
• Or by the final customer.
• The manufacturer declines all responsibility in case of improper installation, failure to observe specifications, insufficient maintenance or failure to connect the alarm. Opening or tampering with the pump unit will void the warranty.
